Like so many, the lure of the salt air and sea breezes was too strong for Bucky and Wendi Oliver to ignore. After years of spending time in Beaufort, it was time to make it home. Today they make Front Street in Beaufort their home on the Crystal Coast.
It was on their front porch that the Olivers first dreamed of what the future could be for the “Old Fish Factory” on the waterfront. Bucky and Wendi are not your typical real estate developers; they will be your neighbors on Front Street.
Bucky isn’t new to making such dreams into reality. He’s owner/developer of more than 2,000 acres in Teton County, Wyoming, where the most recent round included 296 apartment units on 30 acres. (see www.3creekranch-jh.com or www.blairplace.com)
Bucky is Chairman and Founder of Jetcraft Corporation, which offers worldwide solutions for aircraft sales and acquisitions. Jetcraft has six offices throughout the U.S. and one office in Switzerland. He has 47 years experience in the business aviation industry. (see www.jetcraft.com)
The Olivers’ love for the water extends to those who live around it. Bucky and Wendi served as chairs of the Duke Children’s Teddy Bear Ball in 1998 and Bucky currently sits on the National Board of Advisors at Duke Children's Hospital. He also serves as a Board Member for The Hill Center and is co-chair of The Hill Center Campaign.
Wendi serves on the Executive Committee of the Community in Schools for Carteret County and remains active in the Duke Children’s volunteer program. She also served on the Children’s Flight of Hope board, and is also very involved in the Hill Center.
